Counselling Services in Melbourne with Ursula
Ursula provides a counselling service in the Western suburbs of Melbourne, ten minutes from the CBD.
Counselling places are limited so please call to discuss availability. Counselling provides people with a safe and confidential space to work through personal and relationship issues that are troubling them. Counselling can help people to identify existing strengths, learn new skills and coping strategies and enhance their self knowledge and resilience. Counselling can also transform traumatic experiences into strength and wisdom which enhances feelings of hope, courage and self worth. Counselling can also create a sense of agency that can help people to instigate positive change in their lives.
Ursula does not operate a crisis response service and works on a strictly scheduled appointment basis. If you feel you need immediate mental health support please call your nearest government mental health service or public hospital and ask to speak to psychiatric triage. Alternatively you can call lifeline on 13 11 14.
Ursula’s overall therapeutic model is systemic which encompasses social and feminist analyses of psychological health. Her general counselling style is humanistic and collaborative. Together in a safe and respectful space Ursula and the client look at what the client would like to be different in their lives and work towards these goals. Within the larger therapeutic frameworks, Ursula draws on a variety of counselling modalities including cognitive behavioural, psycho dynamic, attachment theory, narrative, experiential, solution focused, acceptance and commitment therapy, EMDR, family therapies and her own Shark Cage framework. The particular mix of modalities and interventions used will be influenced by the client’s framework for viewing the world and personal style and preferences, the presenting issues, counselling goals and the stage of therapy.
E-mail or call Ursula on email@example.com / 0408861260. It may take a couple of working days for Ursula to get back to you to discuss if your support needs are a good fit with the service she is able to offer and if she has any availability.
